What keyword, if not #germoglidiprimavera, could have been chosen by the bloggers who set off on Sunday 29 April by bike from the Rotonda di Badoere to ride up the sources of the Sile and arrive at our fields, in the heart of the production of PGI asparagus?!
Notebooks and cameras in hand, the bloggers* of the ‘flavour tour‘ wanted to know everything about the production, harvesting and packaging of the princes of spring. While they touched on the soft, well-drained soil in which the asparagus peeps out, and visited the farm, there were many curiosities to satisfy: how do you manage to prevent chlorophyll photosynthesis to obtain the white shoots? What peculiarities does the purple asparagus variety have? What does the PGI specification require? Who is responsible for selecting the shoots by size? Which is the farthest country in which Fantin asparagus arrived?
Needless to say, the visits and the interest shown in each question have, as always, flattered us; but the greatest gratification remains that of reading, in the eyes of our guests, the surprise and excitement at the passion, despite the hard work and fast pace, with which we have always cultivated this excellence of the territory!
